Fernando Silva was born in Mexico City. His knowledge of art were purchased from the School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda", and editorial design at the School of Graphic Design at the National Institute of Fine Arts. He is a member of the Mexican Society of Authors in the Visual Arts. He was artistic director of the Red Dot Gallery in Cuernavaca, Morelos., Where he was curator and organized exhibitions among which: Leonardo Nierman, Adriano Silva, Ramon Prats, Julio Carrasco, Rosana Tlanesi, Xolotl Polo, Yolanda Quijano, Jesus Franco Raul Navarro, José Luis Varto, Christina del Valle, Himiko Takasawa, Guillermo Zertuche, Cristina Niizawa, Sabine Klaus, Uli Solna, Armando Gomez, Kunio Iesumi, Alejandro Quijano, Kenya and Francisca Cano Altamirano. He was also the exhibition curator Rafael Coronel at the Hotel Mision del Sol
He has participated in countless group and solo exhibitions in Mexico City, Cuernavaca and New York. His career ranges from the production of information and cultural programs for television, publishing and design of art books, trade publications and newspaper, and press photography, artistic and commercial.
Has offered courses and workshops on topics of social and artistic education in universities and cultural centers. In February 2009, writing for the newspaper La Jornada, Morelos, where appear the interviews done important painters and sculptors reside in the city of Cuernavaca.

A Fernando Silva likes to investigate and experiment with different materials and styles to them the surprise win that gives the result.
